There are different types of sound-proof underlayments which can reduce a noise from the floating floor. As a rule this is used when floating floor is the only option in the apartment. We can install cork (one of the best sound-proofing underlayment), fiberglass, felt, etc/ All of them will be more than enough not to disturb your neighbours downstairs. |

5/16" thick 21/4" wide unfinished Oak floor was frequently used for flooring last century. Today this type of floor is to be installed in the addition to match the existing 5/16" hardwood. Cons: top-nailed - all nail holes are to be patched and seen after finishing; too thin to be refinished many times. A good substitute for above-mentioned hardwood is Unfinished 3/4" Tongue & Groove (T&G) is to be nailed or stapled to tongue of the plank. Pros: no nails or staples are seen after installation and finishing; can be refinished many times. |

Yes, we do install different types of inlets and medallions. But this can only be done with unfinshed hardwood. |
