 To begin with you need to look at where you plan on installing your new wood floor. Some wood floors are limited in where they can be installed. This is especially true for the 3/4" solid wood floors. Because the 3/4" solid wood floors are more susceptible to moisture they are generally not recommended for basements or installing over concrete slabs.
